This will in fact fit the Canon R with the optional Canon battery grip attached. And there is room for a lens on the body, albeit a short lens. I can fit the camera and grip in with the Canon RF 35mm f/1.8. The case is well made, the neoprene is just thick enough to cushion and protect the camera but be flexible enough to stretch as you fit the body in. Seams are well stitched and glued. Should last a long time</p>
