The LensCoat^TM BodyGuard^TM Pro CB (Clear Back) is a camera body cover made from soft shock-absorbing neoprene, protecting your camera from the nicks, dings and scratches of accidental impact WHILE YOUR LENS IS ATTACHED. Like the BodyGuard Pro it also keeps the camera body free from dust and dirt as well as protects it from the elements AND it REDUCES SHUTTER NOISE. The BodyGuard Pro CB has a clear plastic back allowing you to use the camera with the cover on. Most buttons and switches can be accessed through the thin plastic back. The BodyGuard Pro CB also has finger access slits on the side for additional access to buttons and switches. The shutter button can easily be depressed through the neoprene or by sliding you finger under the cover. The BodyGuard Pro CB goes on and off easily allowing you to change batteries and memory cards quick and easy and has access for flash and camera straps.

The bodyguard came in handy the very first time I used it. I felt more comfortable taking my Nikon out during a snow storm knowing that it had some protection against the elements. I would recommend this as a handy, low tech camera accessory...

Fantastic Product with a Dual Purpose.... Not only does the CB do a great job insuring my bodies aren't affected excess moisture or dust but in difficult shooting situations they also provide a noticeable amount of noise dampening for my Nikon D3's... Everybody knows that the D3's shutter can be a little noisy when shooting quiet events and the Body Guard Pro CB does a decent job in helping to muffle the noise so that it doesn't sound so sharp and thus doesn't travel as far... I posted a sound bite on my site if you want to hear the actual difference - D3 w AF-S 17-35 ED lens ( my go-to event lens ).. you'll be able to tell which one is the bit with the CB installed... recorded with my MacBook Pro built in mike @ about 1.5 ~ 2 meters.... http://www.ktmjapan.com/tmp/D3_LensCoat_2meters.mp3 Don't get me wrong it's not a sound blimp but it does make enough difference for me when on noise critical shoots... Highly Recommended..

Excellent construction and finishing details, the neoprene thickness is ideal. Excellent screen transparent for both clear vision for the material it is constructed. Access to the commands of the machine is slightly awkward, but usable. My personal suggestion is to work to create a model that improves the more the acoustic sound of the shooting. I use a Canon Eos 1D Mark III body, for photographing animals, shooting is very noisy and I like to have a BodyGuard Pro that would alleviate most of the noise to avoid startling the subject.
