Recently I purchased the Nikon 200-400 VR zoom lens. The lens is a dream but it is heavy. It is designed to be hand held with the VR. I noticed that when shooting wildlife and holding the lens that I frequently put the lens down. Being in the \"wild\" this meant the risk sticks, stones and such either scratching or damaging the lens. Thus---lenscoat to the rescue. I bought this product to protect the lens and it has done this quite well. Additionally it provides a bit of protect for light rain Thus far the product has done everything I hoped and done it quite well. It is easy to put on and also keeps fingers off of cold metal on cold days.

Without hesitation I recommend this product.
