I shoot a Canon 7d with a 70 to 200mm lens and a x1.4 extender with the lens hood attached. I have used a 2 gallon food bag to shield the set up. So when I am adjusting for the shot, things have not been protected as well as I would like. The standard LensCoat is a GREAT improvement and my set up is now not exposed while I set up the shot. I think the cost of the LensCoat is a very small investment to avoid equipment repair costs.
