The LensCoat® 500 features a clear plastic windows over the auto focus and Image Stabilization controls, and also the distance scale. A small hole on the last segment lines up with the red dot indictor, making it easy to quickly line up your lens with camera mount even with the cover installed.

This is a very good product that, in my view, is almost an essential accessory for a large lens like the 500mm which, like mine, is mainly used for shooting wildlife. I recommend anyone buying this product to also buy the Hoodie which is much more user-friendly lens protection than the big cumbersome cover provided by Canon...
