The LensCoat® TravelHood™ is a lightweight alternative or replacement to the rigid lens hood that comes with your lens. Its ribbed design allows it to fold nearly flat to easily store in your gear bag or suitcase, making this hood your perfect long lens companion.

Made with lightweight water resistant material, the LensCoat TravelHood deflects stray light to prevent glare and lens flare. The LensCoat TravelHood also helps to protect the lens from scratches and the elements like rain and dust.

No Hardware Required - The TravelHood goes on quickly and easily, the heavy duty Velcro and "no slip grip" material keeps the TravelHood in place.

Its overall light weight makes your lens easier to handle in the field, packaging, or during transport.

The LensCoat TravelHood is available in Black, Realtree Max4, Digital Camo, and Forest Green Camo to match your LensCoat lens cover.

As with all LensCoat products, the TravelHood is proudly made in the USA.

Large: 9oz fits 400mm f2.8, 600mmf4, 800mm f5.6

The standard lens hood that comes with my Nikon 600/4.0 is big and heavy, and the lens with the lens hood collapsed does not fit in any of my camera bags. That means I have to put the lens hood in my checked luggage, which doesn't always arrive. Also, the original lens hood is made of carbon fiber, and when it breaks a replacement lens hood will cost a few hundred bucks. Enter the TravelHood. It's very light, fast and easy to put on and take off, it can take a beating, and it's cheap. The best part for me is that I can wrap it around the thin half of the lens, and it will easily fit inside my camera bag. I've used it on all our safaris last year, and it works perfectly - no vignetting and it keeps its shape. Highly recommended...

I always shot with my canon 600mm lens hood .but we know that the original hood is heavy , not flexible ,takes the time when mounting or removaland and difficult to storage, but with this product I found it very convenient, light and easy to install and lead the same purpose, is also compatible with the cap, I'm happy for that and i will get small for my 300mm 2.8 soon...

The foldable lens hoods shield the super-telephoto lenses when I am shooting into the rising Sun as it tops a mountain top. A hawk nest near the top of the mountain is impossible to photograph for a period of 30 minutes or so until the Sun is high enough to be shielded by the lens hood that came with the super-telephoto. By attaching Lens Coat's foldable lens hood as an extension to the standard lens hood photography can continue unabated. These foldable lens hoods are terrific for my purposes...
