The LensCoat cover is just as advertised except easier to put on then expected. I'm also happy that the lens hood can be either extended or down, so the lens can be taken in and out of my backpack as needed. I'm a birder and there appears to be less reaction from the bird when the camera is lifted with camo cover instead of the off-white finish on the Canon lens.
Monsoon season is starting here in Thailand and this will make a big difference in rainy/misty conditions.
Thanks for the speedy shipment/delivery...

I have been using LensCoat products for years and have always been extremely satisfied with both the design and quality.
I recently purchased one for my Canon EF 400 f/5.6L lens. The new design which covers the lens barrel with the hood moved forward into the shooting position is a great improvement over the original. The quality is up to the LensCoat usual high standards. I'm delighted with it and recommend it highly to anyone considering the purchase of one...

This is the second LensCoat I have purchased, the first being for my 500 f/4.
The quality is very good and once the various sections are in place (this takes a bit of practice, and perhaps a more prominent warning that care is needed so as not to tear the material or stitching) the whole lens has a much more pleasant feel to it. It is certainly more comfortable to hold in very cold or very warm weather.
From a wildlife photography point of view the Realtree Advantage camo pattern is very effective at concealing the glaring white(ish) finish of the bare lens. I often shoot from my Jeep and find that resting the hand-held lens against a partially open window is much steadier due to the cushioning and non-slip effects of the LensCoat. Needless to say it also provides protection to the lens against knocks and scrapes...
