The LensCoat® 100-400 has small hole on the last segment lines up with the red dot indictor, making it easy to quickly line up your lens with camera mount even with the cover installed.

Please note that the The LensCoat® Canon 100-400 IS cannot cover the fixed portion of the lens barrel due to the manner in which the lens barrel extends/retracts leaving approximately 3 inches exposed when the lens is fully extended.

Product is first class perhaps not from the most obvious of perspectives. My lenses are laid down/picked up all the time and the coat buffers most of the damage that may occur to the lense edges. I also work mostly in 80-90% humidity forest and the absorptive capacity for a lot of perspiration is good. Haven't washed them yet!? Generally stops the lense itself getting wet and slippery and when confronted with something quick and/or poisonous that helps a little bit...

this one wasn't hard to put on at all and i really like the feel and cushion it gives my bigger lenses...

I bought this for my husband who is an avid hunter. He loves it. It is easy to put on and remove. I didn't want a skin to cover the lens because when I use it I would prefer it not be camoflouged. Therefore, this removable cover is perfect. My husband also likes the fact that it has some padding to help protect the lens. Thanks!..
