The LensCoat Hoodie helps protect the front element of your lens from dirt, dust, moisture and impact. The neoprene Hoodie fits easily and snugly around your lens hood or shade in either the shooting position or reversed. The Hoodie features a reinforced removable front element protection disc made from rigid plastic and firm foam to further protect your glass from damage. Great for travel and storing your lenses.

I ordered a Lenscoat Hoodie for my Canon F4 500 mm lens as a replacement for one which II had lost on a field trip . I had used the ordinal Hoodie for many years , I always had the Hoodie on the lens when I was out in the field trusting it to protect my camera lens from sand and dust and more importantly Cactus spines while photographing in the Sonoran Desert in my home of Arizona

I have a Nikon 600 f / 4 FL VR and for traveling I found an excellent space solution thanks to the advice of the LENS COAT staff with the purchase of this cap combined with the travel lens hood.
