The LensCoat® N500 features a clear plastic windows over the auto focus controls and also the distance scale. A small hole on the last segment lines up with the white dot indictor, making it easy to quickly line up your lens with camera mount even with the cover installed.

I own several of these, and wish I had one for all my lenses. I cannot recommend the lens covers enough!

Somehow this wasn't quite as well finished as I'd imagined, yet it does the job perfectly well. I couldn't help wondering why there isn't an extra piece to go over the focus ring, to complete the job. A neoprene grip around the focus ring would still leave it working well enough, I think. Finally the windows for viewing the distance scale window are excellent, though I don't see it being useful as a medium for engaging the manual / auto focus switch.

Very pleased with the LensCoat for the 500 AF-S II. Very quick and speedy delivery. Actual coat fits well, looks good and looks to protect my lens well.
