LensCoat® Nikon 600VR

I just sold my Nikon 600/4.0 and upgraded to the new version. I've used the old one extensively for over five years, mostly on safaris in Africa in dusty conditions. It has always been covered in a LensCoat, and when I removed it yesterday, the lens looked brand new. As a result, I was able to get a better price for it.

While most people think I use these covers for camouflage, I actually use them for protection: protection from the sun, from dust, from drizzle and snow, from bumps, and from scratches. Also, when you're shooting in freezing temperatures, the neoprene is a lot warmer to the touch and it doesn't instantly freeze your fingers to the metal. For this same reason I also love the LegCoats.

So now that I have my new 600, the first thing I have to do is get myself a new LensCoat as well. Great stuff.

I am very happy this lens coat. Fit and function is perfect. This is a "Great" company to do business with. Bent over backwards to help me when I ordered the wrong coat for my 600mm lens. I have many items from this company and am very pleased with all of them.

Superb quality product from LensCoat. I have needed this item for a long time to break up the contour of my Nikon 600mm F/4 VR whilst photographing wildlife. It is also helpful in padding the lens and protecting this expensive bit of kit. This is an essential bit of kit for anyone who does wildlife photography. I Highly recommend this item. I have one for my 200-400 f/4 VR Nikon Lens as well. If you spend big money on camera gear, it is a small amount extra to spend on protecting it and it will also be an investment in the long term for both your gear and your photography in general.

I jsut purchased this product, all of the parts fit perfectly and I am so pleased. It will most definately help in the field to hide this big lens and I am certain that it will protect it from tree branch scratches while moving in the bush
