By breaking up the recognizable shape of your lens, it also helps make your equipment less noticeable to wildlife. The neoprene cover also provides a more comfortable grip when handling your lens.

The cover provides convenient access to the Auto Focus controls while maintaining protection around the lens barrel. A precision-cut notch on the final segment aligns with the lens's white mounting dot, making it quick and easy to line up your lens with the camera mount without removing the cover.

The LensCoat® Nikon 55-300mm VR also includes an optional Velcro piece designed to cover the fixed portion of the lens barrel when the lens is fully extended, providing additional coverage when you need it.
