Product is first class perhaps not from the most obvious of perspectives. My lenses are laid down/picked up all the time and the coat buffers most of the damage that may occur to the lense edges. I also work mostly in 80-90% humidity forest and the absorptive capacity for a lot of perspiration is good. Haven't washed them yet!? Generally stops the lense itself getting wet and slippery and when confronted with something quick and/or poisonous that helps a little bit.

Excellent product for photos of nature. Birds don't get spooked by the lens as much.
