It does what is designed to do. I use it with a hoodie as a second line of defense against over-jealous flight attendants that refuse to allow my camera backpack aboard even, when it fits under the seat or overhead compartment. I just pull the lens out of the pack and carry the lens aboard with some protection. Also a carry and light duffel bag (inside the backpack) where I stow smaller lenses and camera bodies (I also use LensPouches and BodyBags to protect lenses and camera bodies for protection for these circumstances). I leave the less critical gear of in the backpack hoping for the best. Of course all my equipment is fully insured since the airlines are not responsible for the baggage that is denied entry aboard the plane as a carry-on.

Excellent products, fits perfectly with hood on or reversed as intended (in my case a 600mm VR FL with Nikon D600 body without teleconverter). Recommended...

Very good travel bag. I use this bag primarily with my 400mm attached to a body, along with a couple of other lens inside while travelling by air. Great size...

My Lens Coat Tripod Leg Covers are great. Great quality and easy to install. The covers keep the black tripod legs cool in the summer and I am sure warm in the winter. I recommend them highly!..
