Pairs well with

TravelCoat covers are made of 3mm thick shock-absorbing closed cell neoprene. Custom tailored to fit you lens providing protection allowing you more valuable room for packing and storage. Slides over lens quickly and easily with a Velcro closure.

The TravelCoat for the Canon 500 f/4 IS is available in two different styles to fit your packing/storage preference. One model is for use with out the hood on the lens and the other model is for people who put the lens hood on the lens in the reverse position.

Use with the appropriate Hoodie for complete lens protection.

TravelCoats are available in Black, Forest Green, Realtree Max4, Realtree Max5, Realtree Snow, and Digital Camo.

Great padded lens cover! Easily fits over a Lens Coat. Accomodates the lens strap if still attached. Still fits in the Canon lens case easily. A little difficult to fasten the velcro underneath a lens foot (I have an aftermarket foot which is a bit lower profile than the stock Canon foot). I've learned to work around it, but it would be great if the velcroed seam was located to one side so it's not directly aligned with the lens foot location. That's the only reason it's 4/5 rating for me, otherwise I love it!

The Travel Coat fits very well on the Canon 500mm. It goes also very well with the hoodie xxx large model.

The travelcoat fits well and protects my 500 f4 lens while transporting between shooting locations. I do a lot of back country work and hard cases are not an option.
