While on a trip the tour leader exclaimed how much he liked this hood. Since my metal hood is now missing a tiny screw, I decided to get this. Out of the packaging, it is quite stiff and does not do around the lens very well. However, I have placed it on the lens and then put it back into the storage bag. I think this will help it adjust to going onto a round lens.

The foldable lens hoods shield the super-telephoto lenses when I am shooting into the rising Sun as it tops a mountain top. A hawk nest near the top of the mountain is impossible to photograph for a period of 30 minutes or so until the Sun is high enough to be shielded by the lens hood that came with the super-telephoto. By attaching Lens Coat's foldable lens hood as an extension to the standard lens hood photography can continue unabated. These foldable lens hoods are terrific for my purposes.
